Guitar Rig Hero Competition
Friend of Amuze.me Steve Jones has just been announced as one of the judge’s in this year’s Guitar Rig Hero Competition. Steve, originally from Northern Ireland is recently toured with ‘Air’ and released his own solo album.

Guitar Rig 3 is a Mac (and PC) guitar effects system available as a software package or together with a foot controller. Native Instruments are giving users to make it big with the system, and don’t worry if you can’t afford it, there is a fully functioning demo on site. The GUITAR RIG HERO contest allows you to compete for prizes worth over $10.000, including some top-of-the line Gibson guitars, a cutting-edge Quad Core-powered laptop, valuable NI vouchers and more.
To join the contest, capture a video of the most original and spectacular performance that you can do with GUITAR RIG 3. From the most insane guitar solo to the craziest sound experiments, no sonic or artistic limitations of any kind apply! If you don’t own GUITAR RIG 3, you can simply download the fully functional
demo version and use it for the contest.
Once your video is ready, upload it to your own YouTube account – you can create one for free in just a few minutes – and post it as a video “response” to the title video in the Guitar Rig Hero channel. Please read the “How to join” section below for more details.
Submissions will be accepted until September 30th, and the public voting will continue until October 14th. If you have not tried the Guitar Rig system before (for Mac and PC) check out our review here. More information on the competition is available via the Native Instruments site.

Hi,
there’s news to the Guitar Rig Hero Contest!
We have just entered the public voting phase. Over 100 entries have been submitted to the dedicated YouTube channel by musicians from all over the world, reflecting the acclaimed versatility of GUITAR RIG with a wide range of musical styles, and showcasing astonishing creative ideas and musical capabilities on guitars, basses, violins, keyboards and even egg slicers.
With prizes worth over $14,000 reserved for the first twenty places in the contest, Native Instruments now calls on the public to participate in the audience voting to make sure that the best entries get the top rankings. Everyone can rate each video on a scale from one to five via a regular free YouTube account, with a Top 30 display on the NI website reflecting the current contest rankings at any time. The audience award winners will be determined on October 14th.
It would be cool if you let your readers know about that!
Best,
Alex
