Elliot Jay Stocks EP Release
One of the UK’s best web designers Elliot Jay Stocks is no stranger to the music industry. Elliot has designed websites for some of the world’s best music acts he is a well known, speaker, and author, but Elliot Jay Stocks harbours a dark secret: he’s also a musician.
Since 2001 he has been self-releasing albums and scoring soundtracks to independent films under the pseudonym Sourhaze, and the monicker serves as an umbrella term for him and the various musicians with whom he collaborates (his main partner-in-crime being Norway-based singer-songwriter Rhys Marsh).
2009 sees a significant change to the Sourhaze sound, as vocals have been dropped in favour of richly-textured instrumental pieces. They’re not songs in a traditional sense; more experiments in combining huge drums samples with eastern instruments, overdriven guitars, and layers of glitch-ridden atmospherics. ‘EP 1’ will be released as in March.
