The Courteeners : Belfast
Manchester indie rockers The Courteeners return with new album ‘Falcon’ on 22nd February and will play the Speakeasy as part of the tour on Wednesday 31st March. The album is the follow up to the UK Top 5 album ‘St. Jude.’ New single ‘You Ovedid It Doll’ is released on February 15th and has been receiving substantial radio support and the album has been met with critical acclaim.
2009 was a huge year for the band. They toured the US with their hero Morrissey for 18 dates and performed on the main stage of the Coachella Festival in California. In December they played a massive 10,000 capacity soldout homecoming show at Manchester Central. The band are set to see their star rise further throughout 2010 with a full UK Tour planned in support of ‘Falcon’ and festival appearances scheduled throughout the summer.
