Brian Houston : Empire

Submitted by Muze on Friday, 10 October 2008No Comment

Having just returned from a full UK tour and with the first single Oranges already picking up airplay, Brian Houston is set to release his brand new album Three Feet From Gold. This new record rocks, it surprises and delights at every turn.

Throw in the mix of doo-wop, celtic soul and blue-collar Americana, and with the amps cranked up to 10, Three Feet From Gold is the most arresting Brian Houston album yet.

Radio 2’s Bob Harris, has been supporting Brian for some time and since 2003 has played his music frequently on his radio show. In fact, only a couple of years ago Brian was invited to Bobs birthday party to sing and play songs in the back garden. That summer evening was rounded off by a surprise performance by Robert Plant, when Brian got to jam alongside the rock legend !

Brian Houston has toured hard across Britain and Ireland, supporting artists such as Van Morrison, Glenn Tilbrook and Elvis Costello. With heavy weight tastemakers like these on your side; it’s a mark of this man’s hard work, determination and perseverance that Three feet from Gold showcases with such energy and style.
